first_imgBrookville, IN—A public hearing on the Public Safety Income Tax rate will be held on June 25 during the next council meeting.  While approximately $1 million is collected each year, only $300, 000 from this tax are used to fund Franklin County EMS and for countywide dispatch referred to as “Public Safety Access Point.”  This year, so far, $30,000 was split between the six volunteer fire departments.  Any remaining monies are divided between the county and the towns.To contact your council member click here.last_img read more
