Norwegian geophysical services company Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has received a letter of intent for data licensing from an undisclosed customer.Illustration, one of EMGS’ vessels; Image by: Trondheim Havn; Source: Flickr – under the CC BY-SA 2.0 licenseEMGS said last Friday that the approximate value of the potential deal was $8 million.Under the letter of intent, the customer will license certain data from the company’s existing EM multi-client library in Norway and prefund a new multi-client acquisition in the North Sea.The letter of intent also includes a settlement of future potential uplift obligations towards the company for certain multi-client data licensed by the customer.EMGS added that it expected to recognize around $7 million in the first quarter of 2019, subject to a final contract being signed under the letter of intent. In recent company news, EMGS received a letter of award from an undisclosed client for a proprietary data acquisition survey in southeast Asia.EMGS is experiencing a challenging market and liquidity situation and there is consequently some uncertainty related to the company’s ability to meet its obligations under the $2.5 million free cash covenant under the company’s convertible bond loan and bank facilities.
Walcott’s pace took him clear of Everton defender Seamus Coleman in the 22nd minute and the Arsenal striker was able to toe-poke home the game’s opening goal. Cech pulled off a fine save to push Steven Naismith’s first-half effort on to the crossbar, but Cazorla cut inside on the edge of the penalty area to drill home a low shot and double Arsenal’s lead in the 58th minute before Ozil slotted home a third four minutes later. Barkley’s emphatic finish made it 3-1 in the 75th minute, but it did little to paper over what had been a disappointing Everton display. Arsenal had sealed their place in the final by beating a Singapore Select XI 4-0, while Everton won through against Stoke after a penalty shootout. Arsenal stepped up their pre-season campaign with an impressive 3-1 win over Everton in the Asia Trophy final in Singapore. Arsene Wenger handed a debut to new signing Petr Cech and saw goals from Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil secure his side victory in front of a crowd of 53,000 at the National Stadium. Everton midfielder Ross Barkley scored a late consolation, but the result was never in doubt. Press Association
All is set for the 2014/15 Ghana Rugby Club Championship (GRCC) final as defending champions, Cosmos Buffaloes RFC come up against their Accra rival Idas Sports RFC on March 21, 2015.At the semi-final round of league matches of the ongoing Ghana Rugby Club Championship, the top two teams from Pool A of Greater Accra and Pool B of Central and Western Region, came face to face to battle out a spot for the final game at last Saturday March 14, 2015, at the Schools and Colleges Park in Cape Coast. The first game of the day was between top seed of Pool A, Cosmos Buffaloes and second seed of Pool B, UCC Spartans. The game kicked off with both teams treading cautiously until about 10 minutes when Cosmos Buffaloes penetrated the opponent’s defence and scored the first try of the day. From then onwards the Buffaloes took control of the game. The first half ended in favour of the Buffaloes, scoring 7 tries and 3 conversions. The second half saw some resistance from the home team but as it was in the first half, the away team found a way around their defence once again, scoring 11 tries and making 4 conversions. The game ended 106 points to 0 in favour of Cosmos Buffaloes.Speaking to the coach of Cosmos Buffaloes about his impression of the game, he reiterated his team’s philosophy that regardless of who they (Cosmos Buffaloes) play, they bring it on. “We respect every team we play and as such, it will be disrespectful if we don’t go all out.” He further stated, “Rugby has come a long way in this country and clearly the new administration via the leadership of Herbert Mensah has indeed brought prestige to this gentleman’s game that is called Rugby”.The second and final game of the day was between second place team of Pool A, Idas Sports and first placed team of Pool B, Westside Boys. This game proved tougher than the previous encounter. The Westside Boys clearly showed they were the champions of CentWest when they held Idas for the longest while during the first half. Idas showed experience and maturity by finding the weakness in the defence of the Westside boys and they started scoring tries. They scored 5 late tries in the first half. The second half continued with Idas scoring 3 more tries to seal their victory. They won the game by 50 points to 0.Abdul Samad, the coach of the winning side, said they had a very tough time playing the Westside Boys and they did not have it easy at any point in the game. “The Westside Boys gave us a run for our money today and their performance make me happy because it’s quite clear Ghana Rugby has a huge future”. He praised the President of Ghana Rugby, Mr. Herbert Mensah for organising arguably the best Rugby league so far in the history of this country, assuring that his team will win the first league trophy under his leadership.Mr. Steve Noi, the tournament Commissioner was highly elated by the general preference of the teams and also the general turnout of the tournament. “Clearly anyone who has been with Rugby before this new administration took over can see a tremendous improvement in this year’s Ghana Rugby Club Championship and I am certain that next year will even be bigger.”The final showdown of the 2014/15 Ghana Rugby Club Championship (GRCC) will come off on Saturday, March 21, 2015 between Idas Sports RFC and Cosmos Buffaloes RFC. The big question is if Idas Sports can defend their title successfully and become the first team to win the title back to back or will the Buffaloes spoil their party this time round and win the coveted Ghana Rugby Club Championship title?Mr. Herbert Mensah, the President of the Ghana Rugby Football Union, said that he was pleased with the way the Club Championship has turned out and extended his gratitude to Accra Breweries who supported the semi-finals by providing water for the occasion.“The finals on the 21st of March is poised to provide an exciting event between the winners of the semi-finals, Cosmos Buffaloes and Idas Sports, and we invite everybody to attend the battle at the Legon pitch,” Mr. Mensah said.
I clarify @afefutbol: LaLiga President Javier Tebas stated this Sunday that “LaLiga’s economic control has nothing to do with the economic effects of COVID-19“, replying to the Association of Spanish Soccer Players (AFE) in its controversy over the application or non-application of Temporary Employment Regulation Files (ERTE).“The players of Barcelona, Betis, Atleti, Zaragoza, Osasuna and others understand that the economic control of LaLiga has nothing to do with the economic effects of COVID-19. And an ERTE is the legal instrument provided if your activity is reduced by force higher“Thebes commented from his official Twitter profile. In this statement, the First and Second Division footballers had regretted that LaLiga supported the ERTE in Spanish clubs when it has always boasted of its “well-sound economy” and they had also stressed that they will not allow “their” rights “to be no longer guaranteed labor “.
Darnell Bing made official Friday afternoon what has been known for nearly a week the Poly High graduate and USC junior is entering the 2006 NFL draft. “I thought about it long and hard,” Bing told a small group of reporters at Poly High’s track. “… I’m very comfortable with my decision.” Bing, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound strong safety, was a three-year starter for the Trojans. He was a second-team All-Pac 10 performer as a sophomore and was on the watch lists for the Lott Trophy and Bednarik Award as a junior. When asked what factors could have kept him at USC for his senior season, Bing mentioned the opportunity to improve his draft position in 2007, possibly winning the Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back and the chance to win another national title. But his opportunity to “live the dream” of playing in the NFL won out and he submitted the necessary paperwork to the NFL on Sunday. Bing has not hired an agent but said he’s narrowed the field down to five or six candidates. He joins USC teammates Reggie Bush, LenDale White, Fred Matua and Winston Justice as underclassmen who have declared for the draft. But Bing said Trojan fans shouldn’t lament because of the mass exodus of players to the NFL. “’SC is stacked with players,” he said and mentioned Will Harris and Josh Pinkard as his possible replacements at safety. Bing has been projected as either a low first-round or high second-round pick in the draft, which will be held April 29-30 in New York. Bing said his decision to leave school came shortly after USC’s 41-38 loss to Texas in the Rose Bowl. But he also stated his decision would not have changed if the Trojans had won their third consecutive national title. He said his main reason for entering the draft was to help his mother financially. Justice and UCLA senior tight end Marcedes Lewis were classmates of Bing at Poly and all three have been projected as first-round picks in various mock drafts. Bing said he’s been told three players from the same high school have never been drafted in the first round the same year. “That would be nice,” Bing said. “It would be a wonderful thing if we can do it.” Former USC defensive lineman Manuel Wright, also from Poly’s Class of 2002, was chosen by Miami in last season’s supplemental draft. Bing also conducted a short workout following the press conference. As he’s done following previous seasons, Bing will work out with Poly track coaches Don Norford, Doc Moye and Keith Anderson. The NFL Scouting Combine will be held Feb. 22-28 in Indianapolis and Bing would like to get his 40-yard dash time under his personal best of 4.41 seconds.
